Hire Flutter Developers
Hire Flutter Developers
Hire Flutter developers from PS3G: engineers who ship iOS and Android from one Dart codebase, with platform channels and store releases handled.
Hire Flutter developers when you want one codebase on both stores without the compromises that gave cross-platform a bad name. PS3G’s Flutter engineers write Dart for a living, know where Flutter needs a platform channel into Swift or Kotlin, and have shipped and supported apps on iOS and Android from a single repository. They join your team as named individuals or as a dedicated team, for organizations of every size: a founder who needs both stores from a small budget of attention, a company with a web product adding its first app, or a department in a larger organization replacing paper forms with a field app.

Hire Flutter developers who are managed, not just placed
The Flutter engineers you hire through PS3G come from our Flutter app development practice. They are PS3G employees who have passed a screen by our senior mobile engineers, and they are supported by a technical lead and an account manager throughout the engagement. That is what separates an engineering firm from a staffing agency: when a plugin breaks on a new iOS release or a build fails on one architecture, the engineer has colleagues who have fixed the same thing.
Flutter apps need a back end. Our engineers work against .NET, Node.js, Python and Java APIs, use Firebase where it fits, and can pair with the engineers building your API from the same bench.
What they can do for you
Flutter developers for hire through PS3G are matched to this kind of work.
- New apps for both stores. Customer apps, field and operations apps, booking and ordering apps, and internal tools, built once in Dart and released to iOS and Android.
- Native integration through platform channels. Bluetooth devices, camera and barcode scanning, background location, biometrics, payments and push notifications, with the Swift or Kotlin side written where a plugin does not exist or is unmaintained.
- Offline-first apps. Local storage with SQLite, Isar or Hive, queued writes, conflict handling and sync, which is where field apps live or die.
- State and architecture. A state-management choice that fits the app’s size (Riverpod, Bloc or Provider), a layered structure, and tests that make refactoring safe.
- Rescue and upgrades. Null-safety migrations, Flutter and plugin upgrades, replacing abandoned packages and fixing the performance problems from rebuilding too much of the widget tree.
Seniority levels
A mid-level Flutter developer builds screens and features from designs and an API contract, writes widget tests and follows the project’s state and folder conventions. A senior developer chooses the state-management approach, designs the offline and sync strategy, writes the platform channels, sets up flavors, signing and the release pipeline, and reviews the team’s work. A lead engineer owns the architecture across apps, the native-code decisions and the relationship with your back-end and design teams.
How hiring works
- Brief. A first conversation on the app, the device features it needs, the back end, the designs, the state of any existing Flutter code and its packages, and the reporting line and hours you need.
- Vetted profiles in days. A short list of Flutter engineers with the apps they have shipped, the native integrations they have written, the state-management approaches they have used, and their availability.
- Interviews. Your team interviews each candidate. A session on a real screen, including a widget test, and a walkthrough of a platform channel they wrote show what matters.
- Start. Access to repositories, store accounts and signing, the back end and designs, a build on both platforms on day one, and first tickets that produce a test build in the first week.
- Scale monthly. Add a second developer for a release push, drop to maintenance after launch, or convert an individual into a dedicated team, with notice.
Tell us what the app needs from the device and we will send matching Flutter profiles.
Vetting: a technical screen by our own engineers
Senior PS3G mobile engineers screen every Flutter developer on working Dart. The candidate reviews an app with planted problems (a setState rebuilding a whole page, a FutureBuilder recreating its future on every build, business logic inside widgets, an unawaited async call, a list without keys, a plugin pinned to a version that breaks on current iOS) and explains each. They are asked how they would structure state for an app with twenty screens, how they would design offline storage and sync, how they would write a platform channel for a device feature, and how they would set up flavors for development, staging and production builds. Store release experience, on both platforms, is checked against specifics.
The pitfalls when you hire cross platform developers for Flutter are particular. Many candidates have built Flutter apps that are entirely UI and have never touched the native side, so the first device feature stalls the project. Some treat every plugin as safe and ship dependencies nobody maintains. State management is often cargo-culted from a tutorial. Our screen looks for native awareness and judgment, not just Dart syntax.
Individual developers vs a dedicated team vs a fixed-scope project
You can hire Dart developers individually into your team, engage a dedicated Flutter team led by PS3G, or hand us a defined app to build as a project through our flutter development company practice.
| Option | Who manages | Fits when | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Individual Flutter developers | Your technical lead | You have the app and a process, and need more hands or specific native-integration experience | A senior Flutter engineer joining your team to add Bluetooth device support and offline sync |
| Dedicated Flutter team | A PS3G lead, against your priorities | You own the product but want the app and its releases run as a stream of work | Two Flutter developers, a QA engineer and a lead shipping a customer app to both stores monthly |
| Fixed-scope project | PS3G owns delivery | The features and designs are defined and you want a price for the whole app | An inspection app with offline forms, photos and signatures, delivered to both stores |
The individual and team options are monthly under our staff augmentation terms and scale with notice; the project option is quoted as a whole. Releases and maintenance after launch can be a managed service under a defined SLA. If you are not yet sure Flutter is right, an advisory engagement produces a written comparison against native and React Native for your app before you hire anyone. In every case the path is a first conversation, a short assessment and a written proposal with monthly cost per role. We do not quote hourly rates.

Frequently asked questions
When is Flutter the wrong choice, and will you say so?
Yes. Flutter is a poor fit when the app depends heavily on the newest platform features on launch day, when it is mostly a wrapper around platform UI, or when your team is already strong in React and wants to share code with a web app. In those cases we will suggest native or React Native in the first call.
Can your Flutter developers write the native Swift and Kotlin code we need?
Senior engineers can, and the screen checks it. For a feature that needs a substantial native module, we may pair the Flutter developer with a native engineer from our mobile bench. The cost of avoiding native code is usually a worse feature, so we do not avoid it.
How do you handle Flutter and plugin upgrades over time?
By scheduling them. Our engineers keep the Flutter SDK and plugins on a regular upgrade cadence, replace packages that stop being maintained, run the test suite on both platforms after each upgrade and release through a pipeline. Apps left on an old Flutter version for years become expensive, so we do not let that happen.
Can Flutter apps handle sensitive data such as health or payment information?
Yes, with the same controls as a native app: secure storage for tokens, encryption at rest and in transit, biometric or strong authentication, logging that excludes sensitive fields and a back end with matching controls. We build and run regulated software ourselves, so the review questions are familiar.
Where are your Flutter developers located?
Flutter engineers are in the US and at our India delivery center, with account management in Wilmington, Delaware. India-based engineers work a shifted day that overlaps US hours and attend stand-ups live, with the same device and store access as US-based staff. State your preferred mix in the brief and the proposal prices it per role.
