Digital Transformation Consulting and Services

Digital transformation consulting that starts with your operations: process redesign, systems modernization, automation, data and AI.

Email hello@ps3g.com

Digital transformation consulting from PS3G starts with how your organization actually operates: the processes that still run on paper, email and spreadsheets, the systems that do not talk to each other, the reports that take days to assemble. From there we design and deliver change in stages, each one funded on its own merits and measured against the process it replaces. It works for organizations of every size. A ten-person firm, a 200-person company and a division of a large enterprise all get the same method: assess, prioritize, deliver the first improvements within a quarter, and build the platform, data and automation that the next stages need.

Transformation in stages you can fund and measure

The transformations that fail are the ones planned as a single multi-year program with a big launch at the end. Budgets run out, sponsors change, and the business that was described in year one no longer exists by year three. The ones that work are sequences of smaller changes, each with an owner, a measure and a visible result, arranged so that early stages pay for later ones.

Our digital transformation services follow that shape. Each stage has a defined scope and a fixed-scope quote, delivers something people use, and produces the measurements that justify the next stage: hours removed from a process, days taken out of a cycle, errors that stopped reaching customers, reports that now take minutes. You can pause between stages without losing what was built, and you decide the pace.

Where it usually starts

Few organizations come to us asking for “digital transformation”. They come with one of four problems, and the transformation grows from there.

Paper and spreadsheet processes

Intake forms that are printed and re-keyed, approvals that travel by email, a master spreadsheet that one person understands. These are the fastest places to show results: a form, a workflow and a shared record replace them within weeks, and the hours saved are easy to count.

Disconnected systems

A CRM, an accounting package, an operations system and a website that each hold a different version of the customer. Staff copy data between them and nobody trusts any single report. Integration, a shared data model and clear system ownership fix this, usually without replacing the systems themselves.

Customer experience gaps

Customers who phone to ask about an order, a claim or an appointment because nothing lets them check for themselves. A portal, self-service scheduling or status notifications remove the calls and the frustration on both sides.

Reporting blind spots

Leadership decisions made on month-old numbers assembled by hand. A data pipeline and a set of dashboards built on the systems you already run give the same numbers daily, and they expose the data quality problems that the manual process was hiding.

What we do

Our transformation approach

  1. 1

AssessmentInterviews with the people who do the work, process walkthroughs, a systems and data inventory, and a cost and risk review. Output: a current-state picture and a ranked list of opportunities. This overlaps with our IT strategy consulting, and the two are often one engagement.

  2. 2

RoadmapInitiatives sequenced over twelve months and beyond, grouped into quick wins, foundations and larger changes, with owners, dependencies, budget ranges and measures. The template we use is published in our guide to building a digital transformation roadmap.

  3. 3

Process redesignBefore any system is changed, we redesign the process it supports: fewer handoffs, clear ownership, decisions made once. Automating a bad process makes it faster at being bad.

  4. 4

System modernizationReplacing, replatforming or rebuilding the applications that cannot support the redesigned process, through our application modernization and cloud migration work.

  5. 5

IntegrationAPIs and integration services that make the systems you keep share data reliably, with one agreed source of truth per record type.

  6. 6

AutomationBusiness process automation for the repetitive work that remains: workflow tools, RPA bots and AI-based steps for documents and correspondence, delivered through our AI and RPA practice.

  7. 7

Data and AIData pipelines, governance and dashboards, then AI use cases chosen for payback and tested as proofs of concept with AI consulting, with data governance in place so the results can be trusted.

  8. 8

Change management supportCommunication plans, training built around the new process, champions in each team, and a feedback loop back to the delivery team. Adoption is measured, not assumed.

Examples by size

A ten-person firm

A professional services firm running on email, a shared drive and a billing spreadsheet. Stage one: a client intake form, a CRM and a document system connected to each other, with automated reminders for deadlines. Stage two: time and billing integrated with accounting, and a client portal for documents and invoices. Stage three: an internal assistant that answers staff questions from the firm’s own procedures. Each stage is a few weeks of work and is measured in hours returned to billable staff.

A 200-person company

A distributor or manufacturer with an ERP, a separate CRM, a customer service mailbox and reporting done in spreadsheets. Stage one: integration between ERP and CRM and a daily operations dashboard. Stage two: a customer portal for orders and status, and automation of order entry from emailed purchase orders. Stage three: demand and inventory analytics, then AI-assisted customer service drafts under agent review. The roadmap runs over a year with a steering group that meets monthly.

A division of a large enterprise

A department that has to work within corporate IT standards, security review and procurement, but owns its own processes and budget. We work inside those rules: architecture that fits the corporate platform, security documentation prepared for review, and delivery in increments that pass change control. Typical scope is a departmental system modernization, a data pipeline into the corporate warehouse, or process automation that the central team has no capacity to build.

Our whitepapers

Two downloads from our team describe the approach in more depth, written for business readers rather than engineers.

Engagement models

  • Fixed-scope project: an assessment and roadmap, or one stage of delivery, with a defined scope and a fixed-scope quote.
  • Dedicated team or staff augmentation: PS3G engineers and analysts working with your team month by month through the roadmap, scaled up or down between stages.
  • Managed services: we run the platforms and automations we build under defined SLAs, so transformation does not add to your support load.
  • Advisory: a fractional technology leader or a standing steering-group role to keep the program on track while your team delivers.

How we start: a first conversation, a short assessment, and a written proposal for the first stage.

Why PS3G as your digital transformation partner

  • Over a decade of delivering software and IT services, from a US headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware with a delivery center in India.
  • One team from assessment to operation: consulting, development, testing, cloud and managed services under one roof, so the roadmap is written by people who will be accountable for delivering it.
  • We build and run our own products, including our HIPAA-compliant EHR and telehealth platform, DocVilla, so we understand what transformation looks like when the software has to run every day for people who depend on it.
  • Microsoft and open-source certified engineers and experience across Azure, AWS and Google Cloud; we recommend the platform that fits, not the one we prefer.
  • A testing center of excellence, plus delivery experience from IoT and AR/VR builds, for the parts of a roadmap that go beyond standard business systems.

Frequently asked questions

What does digital transformation consulting include?

An assessment of your processes, systems and data; a roadmap that sequences changes by value and dependency; and support for delivery, from process redesign and system modernization to integration, automation, data and change management. A good digital transformation company delivers in stages you can measure, rather than a single program with one launch date, and it leaves your team able to run what was built.

How long does a digital transformation take?

It depends on scope, and the right answer is to stop thinking of it as one project. The first stage of useful change should land within a quarter. A typical roadmap covers twelve months with stages that can each be paused or re-sequenced. Larger organizations run several roadmaps in parallel, one per business area, under a common steering group.

Do we need to replace all our systems?

Usually not. Most transformations keep the core systems and fix the processes, integration and data around them. Replacement is justified when a system cannot support the redesigned process, has no supported upgrade path, or costs more to keep than to replace. The assessment makes that call system by system, with the options and trade-offs written down.

What does a digital transformation partner do that an IT vendor does not?

A vendor delivers what you specify. A partner helps you decide what to specify, sequences it so each stage funds the next, measures the result against the process it replaced, and stays accountable for adoption, not only for delivery. The partner also tells you when the right answer is a product you buy or a process change that needs no software at all.

How do you measure digital transformation?

Against the process, not the technology. For each initiative we record a baseline before the change (hours per week, cycle time, error rate, calls received, days to produce a report) and the same measures after it. Adoption is tracked too: how many people use the new process, and what they still do the old way. Those numbers decide whether the next stage is funded.

Is business process automation part of digital transformation?

Yes, but it comes after process redesign and integration, not before. Automating a process that has unclear ownership or data spread across disconnected systems makes the problems faster. Once the process is redesigned and the systems share data, workflow tools, RPA and AI-based steps remove the repetitive work that remains, and they are easier to maintain because the inputs are predictable.
