iOS App Development Services
iOS app development services: native Swift and SwiftUI apps for iPhone and iPad, designed, built, tested and submitted to the App Store.
PS3G is an iOS app development company that builds native iPhone and iPad apps in Swift and SwiftUI, takes them through App Store review and keeps them current as Apple changes the platform each year. We publish our own iOS apps, so the work is familiar from both sides of App Store Connect. Whether you are a founder shipping a first version, a growing company adding an iPhone app to a web product, or a department that needs an iPad app for clinical, sales or field work under corporate device management, the engineering is the same. The engagement is scoped to what you need.

Native iOS when it matters
Cross-platform tools are good enough for many apps, and we build with them when they fit (see our Flutter and React Native pages). Native iOS is the right call in a few specific situations.
- Your users are mostly on iPhone. Many US consumer and professional audiences are iPhone-first. Building native for the platform that carries most of your users gives them the smoothest app and gives you one codebase to care for instead of two.
- The app depends on Apple frameworks. HealthKit, ARKit, Core ML on-device models, CarPlay, Apple Pay, widgets, Live Activities, App Clips, Siri Shortcuts and Apple Watch companions are reached most directly from Swift.
- Performance and feel are the product. Camera pipelines, audio, drawing, maps with thousands of points, and animation-heavy interfaces run best when there is no bridge between your code and the OS.
- iPad is the device. Point-of-care, retail and sales apps that use split view, Apple Pencil, external displays and keyboard shortcuts benefit from iPadOS-specific design rather than a stretched phone layout.
If none of those apply and you need Android on the same day, a cross-platform build is probably the better use of your budget. We say so in the first call.
What we build
- Consumer apps distributed through the App Store, with in-app purchases, subscriptions and StoreKit handled correctly.
- Customer apps that sit on top of your existing web application and share its API and sign-in.
- iPad apps for clinics, showrooms, inspections and kiosks, including managed distribution through Apple Business Manager.
- Healthcare apps with HIPAA-ready architecture, HealthKit integration and secure messaging; our healthcare software development team leads these.
- Companion apps for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices using Core Bluetooth and Network frameworks.
- Apple Watch extensions, widgets and Live Activities for apps that need a glanceable surface.
- Modernization of older Objective-C or UIKit apps to Swift and SwiftUI, without a disruptive rewrite.
Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode and Apple platform features
We write new apps in Swift with SwiftUI for the interface, reaching into UIKit where a control or a behavior is not yet available in SwiftUI. Concurrency uses Swift’s async/await and structured tasks; local data uses SwiftData or Core Data depending on the app’s history and sync needs; networking uses URLSession with typed models and a thin API layer we document for your backend team. Sign in with Apple, Keychain storage, Face ID and Touch ID, App Transport Security and data protection classes are standard parts of the build, not extras.
The toolchain is Xcode with Swift Package Manager for dependencies, XCTest and XCUITest for unit and interface tests, Xcode Cloud or a CI service of your choice for builds, and TestFlight for internal and external beta groups. Crash reporting and analytics are wired in before the first beta so problems are visible early.
| Need | Apple framework we use |

App Store review and launch
App Store review is a checklist, not a mystery, and most rejections come from a handful of causes: missing privacy details, sign-in flows that demand more data than the app needs, purchase flows that bypass StoreKit, incomplete demo accounts for the reviewer, and screenshots that do not match the build. We prepare the privacy nutrition labels, the App Tracking Transparency prompt if you use tracking, the age rating, the review notes and a working reviewer account, and we submit from an App Store Connect account that belongs to you.
Launch is staged: a TestFlight beta with your own people, a phased release to a percentage of users, then full availability once crash rates and reviews look right. After launch we watch each year’s iOS beta cycle for changes that affect your app and schedule the updates before the public release, so the app is ready on the day the new iOS ships.
Engagement models
Fixed-scope project for a defined app; a dedicated iOS engineer or team placed inside your product group, month to month; managed services where we run the app, backend and releases under a defined SLA; or advisory work such as an architecture review or a second opinion on a proposal. How we start: a first conversation, a short assessment, a written proposal.
Why PS3G
We publish our own apps on the App Store, including EasyLearning4Kids, our kids’ learning app with 5-star ratings, and the patient and doctor apps of our HIPAA-compliant EHR and telehealth platform, DocVilla. We have built software for over a decade from Wilmington, Delaware and a delivery center in India, and our testing center of excellence runs device, performance and security testing on every release. The backend behind the app comes from the same company: Microsoft and open-source certified engineers who build the APIs, cloud and data your app depends on.

Frequently asked questions
Should I use SwiftUI or UIKit for a new iOS app?
SwiftUI for new apps, with UIKit components where a specific control or behavior is still better served there. SwiftUI is where Apple invests, it covers iPhone, iPad, Watch and Mac from one codebase, and it is faster to build with. An existing UIKit app does not need a rewrite; new screens can be added in SwiftUI alongside the old ones.
Can you build an iPhone app and an Android app together?
Yes. Two native apps are the right answer when each platform’s hardware and design language matter; a Flutter or React Native build is the better answer when you want one codebase and the device features you need are covered. We recommend one in writing after the first discovery session and explain the trade-off either way.
Who owns the Apple developer account and the code?
You do. We set up or use your Apple Developer Program membership and App Store Connect account, sign the app with certificates held in your name, and deliver the source repository with a build that compiles from a clean checkout. Nothing about the arrangement locks you to us after the project.
How do you handle App Store rejections?
We prevent most of them by preparing privacy labels, review notes, a demo account and compliant purchase and sign-in flows before submission. When a rejection does happen, we read the cited guideline, fix or appeal within the review conversation, and resubmit. We have been through the process with our own apps as well as client apps.
Can you update an older Objective-C or Swift app?
Yes. We start with a build, dependency and crash review, bring the project onto a current Xcode and Swift version, replace deprecated APIs and then modernize screen by screen, usually in SwiftUI. The app stays shippable throughout, so a long rewrite does not block the releases you need in the meantime.
Do you build HIPAA-compliant iOS apps?
Yes. We run our own HIPAA-compliant platform, so the controls are routine for us: encryption at rest and in transit, Keychain-backed secure storage, session timeouts, audit logging, business associate agreements with the services the app uses, and a risk assessment documented before launch. HealthKit data has its own rules, which we design around.
